Supervise Telecoms test and commissioning engineering activity to deliver system development and implementation, including sub-contractors and test equipment. Production and implementation of test and commissioning documentation deliverables to meet GSM-R Telecoms project Test Strategy requirements. Provide test and commissioning knowledge to projects during testing as required. Support estimating for engineering projects and tenders with regard to test and commissioning engineering resources, plans, technology, risk and process. Witness testing where necessary, review and sign off test results to confirm successful testing completion. Checking that all plant and equipment required to be safety inspected, maintained or tested is currently certified and that site records are kept Identifying and reporting project scope chang. Maintain and develop own professional competence and encouraging and assisting persons working under their supervision similarly. Ensuring that persons working under their supervision are briefed on their duties and competent to carry out tasks assigned to them and that they accept personal responsibility for work done under the authority delegated to them. Ensuring GSM-R Telecoms test and commissioning tasks are delivered in accordance with Siemens Mobility Safety and Quality procedures and meet all applicable legislative, safety and customer requirements. Ensuring GSM-R Telecoms test and commissioning tasks are delivered and undertaken in accordance with customer Health and Safety procedures and requirements including main line rail. Maintain and develop good relationships with internal and external customers, industry associations, suppliers and Partners. Proven success leading and motivating a team of test and commissioning engineers for effective test and commissioning of telecommunications systems. Proven experience of supervising delivery of Operational Telecommunications systems test and commissioning activities in the rail environment

On a network trial as the Project Engineer installing multi-mode fibre optic LTE-Advanced technology in central London (Tech City). Liaising with the client on site Acquisition to enable legal access to site. Issuing instruction to build (civil, electrical and rigging) activities. Ordering of plant equipment (HiaB/Crane/specialist lifting equipment for manual handling). Ordering of equipment and consumables into warehouse and then picking (BoM) Bill of Materials for site specific Huawei install/swap. Part of the survey Install & Commissioning team on a modernisation project on the Vodafone, O2 Networks.Surveying sites for proposed RRU,MRFU or Hybrid solutions on Greenfield,rooftop and street work sites. Part of the Survey Audit QA team checking Survey quality before upload to Team Space for HUAWEI inspection. Installing and commissioning sites on the deployment stage of the network swap out with HUAWEI DBS3900, BTS3900L and Alifab cabinet parasitic convertions. Site audit inspections after site installation for hand over.Ordering of equipment and consumables into warehouse and then picking (BoM) Bill of Materials for site specific install/swap. Checking surveys and ordering of plant equipment (HiaB/Crane/specialist lifting equipment for manual handling). Lieasing with the customer regarding site specific access/install issues on a regular basis to eliminate customer concerns.

A member of the GSM-R team,an engineer on commissioning, Intergrating on the GSM-R UK network roll out. •Currently building completion areas onto the network management system via OMC-R and backing up data onto CRAMER and STaPD data bases.•Commission and Integrate SDH, HDSL & PDH equipment.•Commission, Integrate and chain test GSM-R BTS Radio equipment into the management system via remote on site network access.•Commission, Integration and Incident document controller.•Commission and Integration qaulified trainer.•Fault diagnosis on BTS Radio and associated TX/RX equipment via Anritsu site master.•Qaulified Anritsu site master trainer •SCADA alarm tests on GSM-R remote REB cabins.•NFA (Network Functional Acceptance) & regression tests on all functionality on the network once software patches have been implemented.

A member of the utran/WiMax technical diagnostic Investigation team, reporting to the Programme manager. Also managing the support to Installation and commissioning teams during the rollout of the 3g network for Orange3G and WiMax field trials.

A member of the trouble shooting team climbing mast’s and towers (Full advanced climber certified), reporting back to area Programme manager.
