I worked as a peer mentor for Starter for 6 training program. Starter for 6 is an enterprise training programme that supports up and coming innovative, creative entrepreneurs across Scotland. With the added incentive of the opportunity to pitch for up to £10,000 of investement at the end of each programme

Teaching 2nd and 3rd year basic and advanced Solidworks and Rhino CAD modeling techniques.

After the success of the projects I worked with at Napier University, I was invited back to assist with a `live' project, working with Edinburgh based furniture designers Firth and Titley.Demonstrating and ensuring the students knew what was necessary to take their products to manufacture using SolidWorks with their 6 week design project. Designing furniture to be manufactured by rotational moulding, the products were then analysed and costed by manufacturing companies for suitability.

After finishing my Masters I was invited back to Napier University to assist and demonstrate CAD on a part time basis to 2nd and 3rd year students. This setting them up with the key skills needed in Solidworks, Rhino and Vray for their final year and life in the design world.

While studying for my Masters, I began working at Edinburgh Napier University as a CAD technical demonstrator. Teaching a design year group the basics to more advanced Rhino modelling, introducing them to Flamingo rendering. Then learning newly acquired software Vray, then teaching the class: enabling them to create professional, photo realistic renders of their own designs which were pitched to industry designers from a technological company.
