The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and New Zealand.The RANZCP's vision is to improve the mental health of communities through high quality psychiatric care, education, leadership and advocacy.

The VCPMF is tasked with the development of a cancer performance monitoring system for the Victorian cancer system. There remain persistent variations in cancer outcomes for some Victorians, including unexplained variations in survival across the state.To enable continued improvements in cancer care and patient outcomes access to timely and relevant data is required, as is a coordinated and consistent approach to monitoring and responding to identified variances and performance gaps.An integrated approach to improving cancer care delivery and patient outcomes across the cancer system will enhance intelligence and drive quality and safety improvement.The VCPMF seeks to:• Identify, develop and test measures to supply cancer performance information• Draw upon the best available evidence, subject matter experts and clinical leaders• Provide information on outcomes, processes and structures of cancer care• Maximise use of existing data to generate information useful to relevant stakeholders• Integrate monitoring and evaluation of care along the patient journey• Address all dimensions of quality cancer care• Build on existing monitoring activities by DHHS and Victorian health services• Translate cancer performance information into practice-based knowledge• Facilitate system-wide, region-wide and local performance monitoring• Harness localised clinical and organisational guidance for effective intervention• Close knowledge-to-practice gaps and drive quality and safety improvement• Facilitate the strategic programming and management of the Victorian cancer system.
