About Andy Nicholson

Working with Billings Flying Service has given me a look at what it takes to succeed in the "real" world of a helicopter company. Over the past few summers I have had the pleasure of working first hand with pilots, ground crew members and Forest Service Heli Base Managers. Working closely with these members I further developed my teamwork, leadership and self motivational skills that are needed for success in the world of Aviation. My current goals are to finish my sophomore year of college with a minimum GPA of 3.75 and to be able to hold commercial pilot standards at the end of my 243 helicopter flight course. Long term goals include flying for the United States Coast Guard as a JayHawk pilot and retire from the military after twenty years of service.Specialties: I know that I have the physical and mental skills that are needed to act confidently as a pilot in command of a helicopter airship.

Billings Flying Service is a successful family owned helicopter company that provides helicopter services to the state of Montana and other surrounding states that are suffering from burning forest fires. My job at the flying service is quite the journey. Some days I will be hooking sling loads to the helicopter while other days I will be fueling and cleaning the helicopter. I enjoy working for Billings Flying Service and I know that I am a great assist to company.
