Each trade had their own interpreter. I also was nominated by the team to write a daily and weekly report on all the trades progress. This was then forwarded on to the client. This was a contract job.

Jan 2014 - Jul 2014

Field Engineer

Mbkhan Construction

I was responsible for the layout and elevations for many projects in a two mile radius on GE property in Greenville. Using an electronic drawing with Carlson software, I would Input the information into a TDS data collector. I would then go out into the field with a total station and mark key points with a hub and tack. This included buildings, railroad tracks, utilities, train turntable, pads, anchor bolts, piles, etc. Precision was key for the 100 or so special machined plates that were installed in the main concrete structure of test stand 7. The positioning of these plates would be crucial in testing one of the biggest turbines in GE history. These stainless steel plates range from 1x1 square feet to 6x6 square feet weighing hundreds of pounds. All the pieces fit together like a glove.

Surveyor/Qa/Qc

Ch2Mhill

CH2MHILL, Afghanistan Inspected the construction of a C-130 hanger, helicopter hanger, tarmac and concrete runway at Bagram Airfield. I was responsible for interpreting blueprint drawings to insurethe project was built according to the specifications. I left Bagram in December 2009, Irelocated to Kandahar to assist with the shortage of surveyors and was responsible forperforming as-built, topo's and construction layout at 17 different camps. Data gatheredat each site would then be transferred to Auto-Cad to make a map of the camp that includedcontours highlighting the flow of water, which was used by engineers to design theappropriate sized log camp that would fit into the area. A log camp consists of tents forour troops, eating facilities, laundry, showers etc. I would then lay out the finaldesign when completed by the engineers. I finished that contract at the end of Dec 2010and went back to Afghanistan in Dec, 2011 to Fob Sharana/Bagram as a constructioninspector and back up Auto-Cad designer. As an inspector I would go from Fob to Fob witha member of the Army and do construction inspections on B-huts, Sea-Huts and otherstructures to make sure they were built accordingly to the drawings and then write areport afterwards. As a Cad designer I would draw blueprints in Auto-Cad which would betaken out in the field for construction. · I was named employee of the month for detailed report writing for Bagram Airfield, which was used as a template to be followed by the other QA/QC employees. · I have worked at 25 different Fobs and Cobs as of date here in Afghanistan.

Jul 2009 - Oct 2012

Field Engineer

Harper Construction Of Greenville, Inc

Performed layout for 30 superintendents and up to 6 commercial projects simultaneouslyusing a Total Station for projects ranging from $10 to $60 million. Electronicallydownloaded from Autocad and manually input information obtained from the blueprints(Architectural and Shop drawings) into the data collector, and marked key points in theground with a hub and tack. Radial lined a building from one point. Troubleshoot issues.· In one instance, my company opted to outsource the 120 anchor bolts for one of theprojects. The subcontractor set 30 or 25% of the anchor bolts in the wrong position by upto 4 inches. I was called in to troubleshoot and had recorded each of the positions intomy data collector and also marked the position on the drawings. It was decided to havethe steel company adjust the base plate for most of the anchor bolts and the steel fitperfectly allowing the project to finish on time.· One of the projects used a modern design that had a moving feel to it by extensivelyusing radiuses. Many of the radius points were in the middle of the nearby highway andpresented a unique challenge. Not only was the exterior on a radius, but so were theinterior walls and ceilings. I was able to layout this building through advancedsurveying techniques. · One of the subcontractors decided it better that his company layout a curtain wall theywere installing for us, but soon found the window panels were 1 inch too high and out ofsquare. I immediately placed a control line and bench mark on all floors enabling thesubcontractor to perform his work accurately.

Listening as well as clearlycommunicating were key to the success in achieving deadlines with minimal mistakes.· I successfully set benchmarks and performed the layout of all projects that fell undermy responsibility.
