Having been a regular volunteer at the railway since 2005, I joined the Board of Directors in 2015 during my final year of university. Since joining, I have strived to improve the standard of service the railway provides and focus on enhancing the customer experience. As a result, passenger numbers to the railway have increased 20% in the last 5 years. The majority of visitors attend large scale events, such as our Day Out With Thomas and Christmas trains, which can see upwards of 5000 individual train journeys being made in a single weekend.
