To act as AMP6 Planning and Programme Definition Lead in newly formed Programme Definition & Optimisation Team. The role, to identify and drive out capital programme and project level efficiencies and to deliver the outcomes to achieve business regulatory ODI’s. To continue to lead and support the asset planning function for non-infra and infra capital programme investment.

Responsible for managing the Non-Infrastructure Asset Management & Planning of company above ground non-infrastructure renewals and refurbishment. To liaise directly with all parts of the business to develop effective and robust interventions and to carry out regular feasibility studies for efficient operation of assets. To utilise deterioration modelling outputs (Pioneer) with a risk-based methodology and present outputs as defined interventions for delivery. To present projects for Director/Senior Manager approval through a Project Management Office (PMO).

The position was responsible for the management of a team of 12 maintenance technicians carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on assets in the Sussex Production Area. There is regular and close liaison with Engineering teams and the wider business regarding capital investment at the numerous WTWs and pumping stations identified.

Responsible for the effective asset planning of below ground infrastructure renewals. To carry out feasibility studies and present results using a risk-based approach. To raise both capital expenditure requests and project initiation documents to enable delivery of the projects within budgets and to timescales. To monitor project implementation and spend profile through to completion.

Responsible for the day to day function of the South East Water leakage detection and data teams in the Southern Region. Management of 20+ staff, contractor staff and capital/operational budgets. Delivery of capital projects including DMA implementation, pressure management, zonal studies and infrastructure renewals programme.
