The programme included strategy development, requirements and data gathering, market engagement across 6 leading service providers via a collaborative sourcing process, sourcing management and negotiation and the analysis of service provider solutions.Global electronics manufacturer: Andy led the market engagement and communications aspects of the sourcing programme which successfully delivered an outsourcing contract for global IT infrastructure services that met the client’s business objectives of increasing operational efficiency and significantly reducing operating costs, creating an IT organisation appropriate for the business’s current size and scope. After nearly 6 years at BP, Andy spent almost a year working with the family business – launching a number of new ventures including Bennington Classic Storage, a classic car storage business based in Nottinghamshire.

Focused on the effective Outsourcing of the operational management of mission critical datacentre infrastructure (including ~10,000 servers and 12Pb data), network and service management activities, the programme also included an 18 month transition programme, including the design and implementation of management, governance, risk and compliance capabilities.European Service Continuity Development – Andy was accountable for the successful development and implementation of BP’s Service Continuity Strategy for its European DataCentre presence. Andy was accountable for roadmap development, concurrent testing of circa 150 applications to ensure FSA compliance, development of regional Service Continuity plans, processes and procedures and the procurement and the implementation of a Service Continuity Management toolset (eBRP) DataCentre Design, Build and Consolidation – Andy was accountable for the implementation of a secondary data centre for BP's trading activities, including technology implementation (inc LAN / SAN / WAN / Server / Backup) plus the consolidation of server infrastructure from other European locations.
