Tanzania

As a Maryknoll Lay Missioner, my main project has been developing a training bakery and sewing classroom, training disabled and deaf youth in customer service, sewing and mending, cooking and baking, and personal and business finance. The main goal of this project is to give these young people usable skills to empower them to support themselves and their families. I also teach English, Ethics, and Theology to young women and Exercise class and Mental Acuity activities to elderly Catholic Sisters. Two days a week I am a local librarian.

Mccreary County, Kentucky, United States

As a CAP Volunteer, I assisted of over twenty elderly, low-income participants to ensure their health and wellbeing. These activities mostly included transport to the doctor, grocery store, and pharmacy. On a regular basis, this involved working at a local food pantry, packing boxes of groceries and delivering them to the participants. I also prepared fun activities for participants such as bingo parties, holiday parties, and preparing goodie bags. This was an Americorps program.

Greater St. Louis

As a Designated Hitter, I was qualified in all departments, making me a very versatile employee. The majority of my shifts were spent working as a Pharmacy Technician, filling prescriptions, processing insurance, and serving customers. I also worked in the photo lab, cosmetic counter, front-end register, and stocking shelves, when needed. Due to employee shortages during COVID I was frequently asked to cover shifts at many different locations in the the greater St. Louis Area and Illinois.
