ANDREW M. PHILLIPS, President and CEO of Cliq, is a 37-year veteran of the payment- processing industry. Before founding Cliq, he owned and operated several other payment-processing companies, beginning in 1982 with the purchase a check-recovery business called CheckRite, followed by the founding of a company called Integrated Transaction Services (a full-service processing ISO that specialized in electronic benefits transfers). His expertise led him to develop his third enterprise, Payment Resources International, where he created some of the industry’s top processing technologies at the time, 1999 - 2002 included Transaction Central™, a web based credit card and ACH terminal that featured all the functionality of an electronic countertop terminal.In 2007, Phillips founded CardFlex, Inc. d/b/a Cliq. Cliq is a leading provider of innovative prepaid card solutions and merchant processing services. Cliq has leveraged its expertise in the payments ecosystem to develop a new business model that supports both business and consumer markets, as it taps into complementary Acquiring and Issuing payment verticals and has seen consistent growth since. He served on the Board of Directors of Pacific Mercantile Bank (symbol PMBC) from January 2007 – June 2014. Phillips is also committed to community service. He has served as vice chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County, served on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Alzheimer's Association, and currently serve as the Visa Chair on the Board of Directors of the Orangewood Foundation.
