Andy Prabowo holds a PhD degree in structural engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He was an awardee of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), granted by the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong SAR in 2018. His research interest focuses on testing, simulation, and design of steel structures, not limited to carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum steel, and other metallic material. His research project in PhD was sponsored by a world-leading stainless steel supplier that has been actively promoting stainless steel as a sustainable construction material.Andy has been working as an academic in the Department of Civil Engineering, Universitas Tarumanagara, since 2015. In 2018, he was promoted to an Assistant Professor before he took a study leave to pursue doctoral degree. Formerly, he obtained his bachelor degree from Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University in 2008, and his master degree in Structural Engineering from Universitas Indonesia in 2015. He got a scholarship from Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education Board (LPDP) to pursue his master degree. Prior to his academic career, Andy was a structural engineer in Royal HaskoningDHV Indonesia for almost 8 years. He held various positions from junior to senior level in the structural department. His project experience varies from local to international projects, not limited to residential, commercial, housing, industrial and facilities, refinery, and biodiesel refinery. He also had various roles in the projects, beginning from an engineer, lead engineer, and design manager. His technical expertise was trained by the Dutch structural engineers in 2009 when he visited CORSMIT Raadgevend Ingenieur in The Netherland. The company is acquired by Royal HaskoningDHV.
