I managed all aspects of the Alexander Hall business, part of Foxtons Group Plc. I joined in 2003 and for a number of years I managed the day-to-day business as Chief Operating Officer, until my promotion to Chief Executive Officer in early 2013. From 2003 I re-engineered the business, taking it through the cycle of a growing and then difficult mortgage market, developing Alexander Hall into one of the leading mortgage brokerages in London and the UK. In 2013 I was part of the management team that took Foxtons Group Plc through a successful IPO process.

After the acquisition of moneyextra.com by Bristol & West, I continued in the role as Programme Director of the business. Bristol & West then also acquired Willis National, an IFA operating in the corporate an consumer markets, and MX Financial Solution Ltd was formed from the combined business with moneyextra.com. In 2002 I became Managing Director after a change in management across the group companies in Bristol & West. I left in 2003 after the decision to combine MX Financial Solutions with Chase de Vere Investments, at the time also owned by Bristol & West, but before I left I managed the successful integration of the two companies.

After Barclays I joined moneyextra.com, a company owned by Exchange and formed from the acquisition of moneyworld.co.uk. My role was to manage all aspects of business change through my board level position.The IT portal was formed based upon a portfolio service for stocks and shares but was developed in a money comparison service for retail products such as credit cards and loans. After a tougher economic period for technology stocks, the company was acquired by Bank of Ireland (through Bristol & West in the UK) and I went with the company into the new ownership.

I was at Barclays for 8 years. Initially I started as a Project Manager in the IT Department of Barclays Financial Services and over my time I took various project and line management roles in IT and operations for Barclays business units, primarily Barclays Funds Ltd. My final role was as Programme Director, a board level position, managing the change across the business such as the implementation of ISAs, changed business process and system implementations.
