I currently work in a conferencing and business venue. I cover events from 300 people in auditorium/atrium spaces down to individual video telepresence sessions using multiple a/v technologies, IT/networking and remote communication platforms.I liaise between event coordinators, event planners and end users in order to offer the best customer and guest experience that can be offered by the multi-faceted technology in the venue. I offer the same level of care, knowledge and attention for all users whether they are from the front-of-house welcome team or the board and CEO.In order to enable the best available platform for guests to present their events by including dynamic media and real-time content as well as encouraging responses and engagement by their audience members I undertook a secondary project of providing a networking and technology layer across the venue building consisting of multi-point wifi access in all locations of the building (which included high-performance access provision for 150 people in dense audience locations) and virtual services in a converged network platform via the application of Hyper-V server, VLAN controls and various virtualised appliance software instances for network and storage provision.Beyond this I also operate and administer a linux server instance in order to have access to an email, web/webmail platform that I configure to support my requirements as well as providing a virtual PBX via a european SIP telephony provider.
