After Pulsant acquired Onyx I continued with my role as Cloud Engineer. This role involved the support and up keep of one of the UK's top Cloud environments which has to be kept to the standard of our robust SLA's. The environment consists of a collection of software suites including VMWare and Asigra to meet customers individual requirements for cloud servers and backups. I have also been involved in the Cloud's hardware maintenance including SAN replication over multiple sites.

Responsible for the uptime of an ISO27001 accredited ISP Data Centre. The main task is maintaining a Cisco based resilient network using various protocols such as HSRP, OSPF and BGP. This role also involved assisting clients with network related issues, 24/7 emergency assistance, new customer installations and pre sales consultancy to deliver customer solutions. Another major part is working with various Telco's to provide Leased lines, MPLS circuits, PSTN lines etc to customers. I have been involved in training new employees into the Data centres specialist working environment to the ISO27001 standard.This Role has exposed me to many different Networking devices from Cisco to Netgear to Juniper Firewalls as well as different server models from HP and Dell.
