Andy is a well-rounded, entrepreneurial business professional with over 20 years of experience in business and operations management, technology support, education, and customer service. For 17 years, he successfully led Capital University’s IT help desk with up to 25 staff members, including up to five supervisors, in a complex organization of over 4000 diverse technology users. In this position, he developed and routinely utilized solid skills in leadership, process development and improvement, performance oversight and reporting, customer advocacy, service design and implementation, policy development, project management, system administration, business analysis, budgeting, teaching, and mentoring. Additionally, he was the lead administrator and programmer on the Lenel access control system, and managed campus ID services.Recently, Andy chose to leave Capital—they would have preferred he stay—because after 17 good years, he aspired to explore other interests and try something new. His wide-ranging experience prior to Capital includes starting a small business, music production management, driver training, aviation services, and customer service in retail and food service.He is interested in finding a position in which he can utilize his strong leadership, management, analytical, customer service, teaching and/or system administration skills. He is particularly interested in working in aviation, real estate, education, hospitality, or non-profit administration.
