Educated in Bolton and Southampton, Andy's career began at a full service advertising agency on the south coast as an Art Director. Within 5 years he became Creative Director and part owner, contributing to the growth of the Agency to one of the largest full service agencies in the South. Accounts worked on include Stannah Stairlifts, Isle of Wight Tourist Board and Merck.Andy was later involved in the start-up of Winchester and Bournemouth based creative agency, Blair Fowles. He gained further experience in design, art direction and copywriting, scripting TV and radio commercials and managing the creative output on behalf of a diverse range of clients, including Land of Leather, Bournemouth Airport, Concept Cars, HSBC and Winterthur.Andy then took a leap of faith, moving to the client side. He joined a highly ambitious team of 12 people at a finance company called Loans.co.uk and set up their internal creative services department with a brief to manage internal and external communications across all areas of marketing. By 2006 the business employed over 450, winning a raft of awards and was subsequently purchased by Bank of America.The credit crunch forced Loans.co.uk out of business and Andy took the opportunity to step back over the fence and set up an agency called Spitfire.
