As President and Chief Operation Officer he led a tem of talented marketing and technological people to the door step of the internet by devising the first ever on line deal/consumer car credit application. Propriety decision based software having been unheard of during that time propelled CarLoanCo to be one of the largest providers of sub prime automobile loans in the country. Andy Ross was President and Chief Operating Officer of Manufacturer’s Credit Corp (MCC) formally known as Manufacturers Lease Company based in Norwalk Connecticut. Mr. Ross was responsible for guiding the company to loan products that were underserved in the market place. At first MCC was an equipment lease company but evolved to be a lender to businesses as time went on. The equipment Leasing business was becoming excessively competitive as large bank began to jump into the industry. Ross needed to maintain a 15% return on investor’s investment which was increasing becoming impossible as larger banks offered their money for 7 to 8%.
