Andy Roth is a casting director/producer with over two decades in the entertainment business. In his career, he has served as casting director, producer or writer on hundreds of projects that range from commercials, animated films and television series, to documentaries and video games. And he’s proficient in multiple editing and production applications including ProTools, Premiere, After Effects, VoiceQ and others.One of New York’s busiest freelance commercial casting directors with over a thousand projects to his credit. His career has spanned over two decades. After several years as the in house booth director for one of the country’s top commercial talent agencies, Cunningham Escott Slevin & Doherty (where he worked on projects spanning commercial, television, film, video games and more) he left to start his own business. Since then he has been working for many of the biggest advertising agencies, casting houses and production companies in the world. His handiwork can be seen on just about any network, cable channel, video game system and all over the Internet. Past castings include, CK, Porche, Wrigley Field, Disney, Konami, Blizzard and many more.As a Director / Voice-Director he has worked on many notable projects including Pokémon, and has several TV shows and movies (animated and live action) slated for a 2020-2021 release. An award-winning Writer & Producer, his most recent animated project, “The Animal People,” hit #10 on iTunes top documentaries list. And his other projects, “Enchanted Thyme – The Delicious Adventure Series,” and “The Peculiar Adventures of Willow B. Star,” for which he served as both writer and producer, gained him national attention and prestigious 2016 and 2017 Telly Awards. His first short film “The Lovers” staring Steven Ogg (Westworld, The Walking Dead, Grand Theft Auto) and Chris Phillips (Ice Age, Max Payne) was picked up for global distribution. He then went on to work with then, Daily Show writer, J.R. Havlan to Co-Produce “The Catskill Chainsaw Redemption.” With a teaching resume that boasts three of the Hollywood Reporter’s top rated college acting programs, Andy has served on the faculty of New York University’s famed Tisch school and is a regular guest artist/speaker at many highly regarded acting programs including Rutgers and Syracuse. His voice over workshops sell out months in advance, and he was twice voted “Best Voice Over Teacher in NY”
