I mentioned this to the gentleman doing my taxes and he said you should talk to my brother he does loans. I'm thinking heck, I'll talk to a loan guy. He set me up with his boss and the interview went well. He asked me to come back when I had my real estate license. He didn't know I had already studied and had the test scheduled. When I showed up in his office the next week, he was a little surprised and I went to work. I was reading the loan application for the first time as I was completing it with my first client. My next step was getting my broker's license and being the broker of record for Mortgage Pros Financial Services. I had three partners and a few loan officers who did a ton of business. We went into a big refinance market, and everyone did well. I wanted a break from loans, so I sold to my partners and started trading. What an incredible education that was. It was a job that I could go into work and lose money or make money. Bad timing on the one because they reduced the spread between the bid and the ask and scalping went by by. I still have the trading mentality, but I tend to hedge more. In steps S&L Home Loans/Meridian Creek Properties where I spent 11 years as an associate broker. That gave me the ability to represent clients in buying or selling their home and do their financing. I had other responsibilities and I enjoyed my leadership role. Fast forward to ERA Carlile where I can again get my clients financing done in house and represent them in all their real estate transactions. This gives me flexibility, but more importantly it allows me to control the entire transaction and makes it extremely easy for my clients. I know what is happening at every moment of the transaction. If you are a busy and who isn't and you need things taken care of in an organized efficient manner while protecting you fully, I should be your real estate guy.
