R.E.D. is an employment and community integration project of Holy Trinity, a city-centre Church in Norwich. Mentor and advise refugees into training and employment in order to see them thrive. Since start up, we’ve helped 30+ refugees into employment or self- employment, training, or volunteering opportunities (in landscaping, painting and decorating). We also support asylum seekers (and their families) with their claims and build community through Church and sporting activities.

Oversaw Oasis’ work in Africa, Central Asia and Bangladesh; mentoring and advising Country Leaders on strategy, finance, funding, and management issues. On behalf of the Global Council, mandated to strengthen local governance; sat on Boards of established organizations (Chair of Oasis Kyrgyzstan, and member of Boards in Mozambique, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe). Chaired working groups on developing Academy schools outside UK and on Human Resource Development across the organization. Developed leadership skills of talented junior staff. Key Achievements* Worked closely with the Founder and Global CEO to implement the global restructure. * Co-developed the Oasis leadership programme (Lead On) for talented staff. * Recruited country Leaders for Oasis in Uganda and Burkina Faso. * Acquired new long-term funders and ensured finance systems were strengthened in countries of responsibility. * Piloted a Give-As-You-Earn scheme amongst Oasis UK staff to fund work in economically developing countries. * Social enterprises moved to development phase in Mozambique and South Africa. * Strategised to influence the Kyrgyz Government to adopt legislation protecting the rights and providing welfare support to children leaving orphanages. * Commenced new children protection work in Burkina Faso and established the first Oasis Academy outside UK in Uganda. * Oversaw the globalization project of the Oasis intranet - completed 1st March 2013. * Standardised pastoral care and professional development across the group. I was employed by Tear Australia and seconded to SU Zimbabwe to replicate the success of the homeless children's programme I established in Bulawayo, and start to address the causal issues of street children in source Provinces. Key AchievementsPartnered with, and grew, an existing programme with Street Children in Mutare. Developing a different approach to Bulawayo, based on the same principles but modified for the context. Founded another programme in Masvingo. These new programmes assisted a further 350 children and youth living on the streets. Over the 7 years in Zimbabwe, succeeded in reunifying 69% of the children with their families (immediate or extended). Empowered local staff to run the programmes and raise the necessary funding.
