Projects Manager working on the Devonport 9 Dock Upgrade project. Currently lead an expert project delivery team at Devonport to support Babcock and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, with projects associated with the Major Infrastructure Programme (MIP).

Deliver guidance to manage all site, project, and contract functions. Attend and contribute during pre-contract meetings, plan programmes and site schedules. Lead the project and sub-contractor team. Liaise with surveyors, clients and construction professionals. Interpret designs and drawings. Responsible for project management throughout the entire lifecycle, including design, proposals, delivery, stakeholder management, post implementation review and handover. Oversee the execution of tasks defined by the project plan, manage changes to scope / schedules and monitor financial controls. Execute site inspections. Enforce health and safety obligations.♦ Drove site operations, motivated, and encouraged workforce to attain targets; completed projects on time and within budget.♦ Chaired regular meetings with clients, forged robust relationships, solved problems, enhanced quality, efficiency, and productivity.♦ Provided expert oversight to amend and sanction complex changes to project plans. Used project management experience - planning, controls, processes, systems - met client and project objectives.♦ Pinpointed skills gaps delivered training; enhanced knowledge and abilities to enable the swift achievement of targets.♦ Acted as a point of escalation for complex queries and concerns; resolved issues to the satisfaction of all parties.

In my current role as contract manager I am responsible for all contracts we have been awarded. I will manage the required work through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, in line with client expectation and to budget.I am responsible for our work force and the successful programming of all of our resources, including sub contractors.In my role I often manage a wide variety of contracts ranging from £500 to £350,000 in value. This will cover different products and resources aimed at a varied clientele. I work to provide a positive health and safety culture and promote staff training and progression within our business.

My aim was to assist in delivering the work programme, utilising crews and resources appropriately to minimise costs and maximise sales.I carried out pre and post site visits to ensure that the contracted and programmed works are ready and available prior to the mobilisation of the crews.Other duties included making sure the programmed works are carried out in accordance with the company process procedures, method statements and risk assessments with specific focus on quality and safety.
