Responsible for creating and developing a strategy and security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorised modification, destruction or disclosure. Key responsibilities include: Project Manager for the successful implementation, certification and continued compliance to ISO:27001; this covers multiple locations across the UK and overseas.

Operational Governance & Performance self-audit to the Service Business, capturing all UK Regional Offices and Operational sites, ensuring Administrative and Commercial practice, process and procedures are being met. This included:Visiting all UK sites, Regional Offices and Business Streams ensuring compliance in all administrative procedures, capturing and sharing best working practices, review of business operating procedures and identifying shortfalls/weaknesses in overall performance.Development and delivery of a recruitment strategy for recruitment of ex-HMAF Personnel.Delivery and management of a non-UK/EU Workforce Deployment Strategy for deployment of overseas labour and staff to UK Operational Sites.

Responsible for ensuring optimal performance of the Strategy & Planning function which included:Compilation and delivery to Board Level management of the Monthly Business Reports for the Managing Director's of the Boiler & Services Business Units.Control Tower for the Business Unit Strategic Initiatives (SI) and interface between the SI Project Managers and Corporate Strategy.Monitoring, assessing and then reporting against all evidence submitted by Senior Staff members against targets set for their Strategic, People and Personal objectives of the company’s Senior & Personal Incentive Bonus Scheme.Development, review and issue of Departmental Business Operating Procedures (BOPs).

Responsible for leading a small team of 3 people in managing the business process that ensured the Services Strategic objectives set out in the company’s 5 year business plan were monitored and met. This included:Focusing on areas of the business where application of the Design to Cost, Purchasing and Supply Management, Margin Leverage, Business Transformation and Efficiency methods could be applied. Design and delivery of procedures that included financial diagnostics of the Services Business, product hierarchical and idea generation workshops, idea evaluation and quantification sessions, which achieved significant savings and an additional ~ £1 million of gross margin.

Working within the company’s Supply Chain Division, travelled to such places as China, Philippines, South Korea, Estonia, Germany and Poland to enable the building of relationships with potential partner companies and the ongoing development of a diverse (Non-UK/EU) Construction manpower resource strategy. Work included:Planning for subsequent introduction and tactical deployment of resource in conjunction with the Construction and Operations Business Groups.Designing a selection/suitability process for senior site roles; including improved methods for succession planning.Development of contact relationships within South America that created business potential in Chile, Brazil and Argentina.

Distinguished service in senior Logistical and Personnel Managerial positions in the Royal Navy throughout the world which has included service on Her Majesty’s Ship’s: Sheffield (survived its sinking in Falklands Conflict May 82), Jupiter, Intrepid, Edinburgh and Ark Royal and other notable positions including the Defence Intelligence Service in London and the Multi-National NATO Headquarters in Belgium and Clyde Nuclear Submarine Base. Responsibilities have included: Directing and managing a combined military and civilian staff of 60 working in personnel administration, manpower allocation and accounting services, ensuring the delivery of an efficient service to ~3500 uniformed personnel.Staff Officer to a Naval Base Captain coordinating the completion of military confidential reports, complaints, representations and disciplinary procedures.Pay & Allowances casework officer staffing submissions from the Navy, Army and Air Force, providing detailed advice to Military HR Staff working world-wide in any operational theatre.
