• Managed and led the operational board along with the delivery teams consisting of project managers, category leaders and analysts. • Directed a portfolio of large clients, namely Debenhams, Gondola Group (Pizza Express, Zizzi & Ask), Nando’s, Save the Children, Travelodge, Pret a Manger & BMI Hospitals, generating recognised savings in excess of £30m from an addressable expenditure of c£350m. • Fees generated from projects under my control, delivered in excess c70% of the fees generated by the business, surpassing targeted profitable returns for Procure4.• The role required commercial leadership, direction, support and mentoring to the project teams. Also the need to build and maintain good senior client relationships to generate additional business opportunities through increased scope of work or referral. • Responsibility for financial reporting of each project within the client portfolio, ensuring the plans were aligned with monthly reported figures and corrective action plans were implemented for any anticipated challenges, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

• Managed a team of 15 internationally located Category Managers, who were responsible for a European expenditure of c£400m, whilst influencing a global expenditure of c£830m on categories such as Disposable Packaging, Chemicals, Interim Labour, Fleet, Uniforms, Professional Services, HR and Capital Equipment.• Created, developed and implemented key international category strategies. These initiatives delivered in-year benefit of c£8m from an addressable expenditure of c£150m.• Developed an excellent internal stakeholder network, balancing supporting the in-country purchasing teams, whilst still delivering against the international strategies. • Negotiated and introduced a number of key international supplier agreements, supporting the strategy to de-couple and actively drive transparency via cost modelling.
