I have accrued close to twenty years experience working within the music industry which has included international touring with a variety of artists, professional recording sessions with named producers and contributing to music for television. I specialise in drums but am a competent multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist. When not lecturing at universities I enjoy teaching and mentoring privately. I am regularly active with two Bristol bands, Emily Breeze and PEACH. Previously I have performed live with artists such as John Parish, Anika, Charlotte Hatherley, Patrick Duff, Marc Ford, Kevin Montgomery, Lisa Mills, Elles Bailey and Eddie Martin. In a studio session capacity I have also worked with composers and producers such as Geoff Barrow, Adrian Utley, Stew Jackson, TJ Allen and Neil Davidge.Throughout my music career I have often worked off stage supporting other bands and musicians as a drum tech, stage crew/manager, driver and merch seller.

As a senior lecturer at BIMM I teach drums and creative industries lessons to degree students. I am also the main drum assessor for the admissions team, auditioning prospective students.

In this role I was one of a small team of lecturers facilitating further education courses within BIMM University specialising in drums, live performance, studio session recording, musical analysis and music history. As part of this role I designed schemes of work, lesson plans, facilitated level 3 assessments including marking and acted as a professional and personal mentor for young students.

In this role I was responsible for the general management of two campuses and musical equipment maintenance. I also facilitated practical lessons as a sound engineer and stage-managed live events which included supervising a team and always adhering to all health and safety regulations.
