My experience in the IT industry has required a thorough understanding of technology and its applications as part of larger business initiatives. While much of my work has been centered around developing custom-built software solutions for large companies, I’ve also focused on understanding the business processes and objectives needed to define these systems. This duality greatly enhances my ability to assess and analyze technical requirements, lead development efforts and guide co-workers in technical matters.

Technical Lead DeveloperSouthwire Company Dec 2021 - PresentCarrollton, Ga, Us -
Director And Technical LeadObi Partners Inc. Jun 2016 - PresentAlpharetta, Ga, UsDeveloped an entire dashboard reporting framework centered around utility industry metrics. This included interfaces to client systems, a backend data warehouse and the front end user interface. I personally handled custom implementations and training at client sites. Additional dashboards were created with the Power BI framework which in turn required me to create a custom Power BI map component for use in our offerings. Integration of spatial metrics into our data warehouse for vegetation analysis played a pivotal role in product differentiation. Additionally, I provided legacy software support for a major utility client through various storm outages. -
FounderTrivial Systems Jan 2010 - PresentI created a LLC to develop a number of personal software projects to investigate new technologies and keep my skillset up to date. The latest product was an iPhone app that used the phone's accelerometer to map the contours of a golf green. Integrating that with the Unity development environment allowed me render a map of the green in augmented reality and place it over the surface of the green. This would allow a golfer the ability to simulate their putt prior to making it or potentially allowing a broadcast medium the ability to include it in their stream.Another product was an iPhone application that allowed users to record voice messages and have them sent to specified people (or groups of people) at a specific time or at repeated intervals. The backend of the application utilized Microsoft's Azure platform as well as integration with telephony web APIs.One of my first projects was a simple iPhone game based on testing a person's ability to touch type on the iPhone keyboard.Demonstrations of all these software applications can be found at trivialsystems.com
