As the Director of STEM Education at Hudson River Community Sailing (HRCS), I lead an award-winning youth development program that combines math, science, and leadership skills with sailing and boatbuilding. I have been working with a diverse and talented team to deliver relevant, robust, and engaging curriculum to 200 New York City public middle and high school students across two locations.I have more than 25 years of experience as a science educator and instructional coach, with an expertise in Earth, Space, and Environmental Sciences. I am passionate about creating experiential learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. I have also developed and implemented effective professional development strategies, data analysis methods, and communication practices to support teachers and students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies to enhance my work and impact.
