I am currently Studying a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology at AECC University College in Bournemouth whilst working full time as a General Manager within a busy bar-restaurant based in Prestwick. Due to the current situation I have decided to broaden my skills in the fear that hospitality is a dying trade. Sport is something I have always been passionate about whether it's the generic sports like football and rugby or the more obscure such as curling and table tennis I have played them all (some to a better standard than others). Over the last few years I have been very unlucky with injuries and at the young age of 28 I feel my playing days are over but my love for sport is still very much alive!!! Due to my experience of injury over the last 3 years, the mental side of sport has been a key interest of mine and my spare time was spent reading various blogs and listening to podcasts about how to overcome these challenges. It has driven me back to studying and I am delighted to be part of such an amazing University. I am currently looking for work experience within the sport and exercise psychology industry and would be very grateful for any opportunities or advice in this area.
