- As CEO I am responsible for the overall operations of the Nunacor Development Corporation, subsidiary companies and partnerships. Subsidiary companies include Komatik Real Estate Corporation, Royal Inn + Suites, Mamattuk Restaurant, NunatuKavut Energy and NDC Fisheries Limited. - Negotiates strategic alliances and joint venture agreements with suitable partners- Leads business development activities and prepares contract bid proposals - Manages project contracts and ensures timelines and budgets are met- Develops marketing plans and materials for the Corporation- Coordinates all human resource activities of the Corporation- Oversees the development and execution of strategic plans to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Nunacor Development including concept papers, position papers, reports, business plans and budgets.- Oversees, and where applicable, manages the organization's special projects.- Executes prudent management policies. Liaises with industry organizations, business entities and stakeholder groups and represents Nunacor- Researches and analyzes business proposals.- Coordinates and recommends direction to the Nunacor Development Board of Directors on Issues such as strategic direction, governance and other related issues.

- Work with small and medium-sized businesses to address human resource issues.- Conduct research and develop models to analyze, explain and forecast economic behaviour and patterns, and devise methods for collection and analysis of data.- Working with community organizations, municipalities and employers to promote employment and labour market growth through various government programs and services- Analyze factors which determine economic growth and advise government on policies to increase economic activities.- Liaison with aboriginal groups in rural areas to ensure equal access to government programs and services.- Prepare reports and documents for senior executives on labour market issues and trends as well as program policies.- Monitor and analyze the local labour market and socio-economic trends.- Liaison with partner agencies and organizations and maintain relationships with these organizations, including aboriginal groups.- Act as a spokesperson for the Department at various functions and tradeshows.

- Responsible for the delivery of Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) suite of benefits and measures.- Working with community organizations, municipalities and employers to promote employment through various programs for EI eligible individuals.- Promoting the programs of the Department.- Analyzing, recommending, approving, and monitoring project proposals, as well as processing payment claims.- Ensuring that program and agreement terms and conditions are met.- Completing financial monitoring on all projects.- Liaison with partner agencies and organizations.- Negotiating financial assistance for clients.

. Assisted the operations of various subsidies including an aboriginal fishing enterprise and real estate. . Counselling clients who were interested in starting a business as well as existing business owners.. Promoting services of the Centre through various marketing techniques (designing print and web material, etc.).. Assisted clients in applying for business financing.. Monitoring client's progress in business development. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of business plans.. Determining client eligibility for various programs.. Following up with funded and non-funded clients on a regular basis.
