In February 1993, Anne Lockwood and I started First Choice Recruitment – a business dedicated to providing the highest standards of recruitment solutions for candidates and clients across the region. 24 years on, we are privileged to serve many of our region’s key employers, providing both temporary and permanent employment opportunities for 1000’s of job seekers across West Yorkshire and beyond. Together with our team we provide our clients with exceptional recruitment services and professional advice and support in all aspects of people placement, resource solutions and business development - recruitment the way it should be. Much has changed over the past 24 years– not least the commercial marketplace in which we operate and the increasingly challenging economic climate – but our commitment to delivering what our clients need and our determination to manage potential candidates with regard and respect has ensured the continued success of our business. We remain dedicated to helping our clients secure better people and build better business but it’s not just in the workplace that these skills can be put to good use. I am proud to be a founder member of Wakefield Works - an initiative to provide a unique opportunity for young people to access and connect with key employers across the region – and WACCL, which brings together the Wakefield business community for the benefit of local young people and deserving causes.
