• Responsible for coordinating sales and product development efforts for Asian automotive companies and their tier one and tier two suppliers.

• Generated project cost and feasibility analyses on Makino products/processes and on third party equipment, providing the customer a cost breakdown of entire system.
• Created a generic simulation package based on Makino’s standard part handling system, which was used successfully in sales presentations to: demonstrate system advantages, determine throughput and validate customer.

• Partnered and worked on site with Makino Japanese counterparts and local suppliers to develop multiple global machine designs and establish a consistent process and common knowledge database.
• Developed a solution, working with team of process engineers, which addressed unique tooling for a new grinding process. This resulted in personal receipt of U.S. Patent 5,993,297 for Super Abrasive Grinding Wheel with.

• Designed machine options that met reliability standards and budget requirements. Examples include: “Continuously Coupled Hydraulic” and “Automatic Tool Matrix Magazine”.
• Provided technical expertise by diagnosing machine problems, designing and implementing optimal solutions. These efforts resulted in reduced machine downtime and decreased warranty cost.

• Performed sales activities including customer calls, product pricing, generating proposals and profit margin analysis, all of which contributed to increased sales.
• Generated a comprehensive advertising campaign that increased customer awareness of product line.
• Initiated and led redesign of special fittings which reduced product cost while also improving quality.
• Performed “buy versus make” analysis for purchasing dedicated tooling, which led to the cost effective decision of purchasing from an outside supplier.
