With over 15 years’ experience in the construction and mining industries I have had the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects ranging from small local construction work through to multi million dollar mining shutdowns. I pride myself on keeping a level head in tense situations and have the ability to make rational decisions while under pressure. Thriving on being challenged, the education I have undertaken during my working career allows me to connect with people ranging from the shop floor right through to corporate level management. In the past 5 years I have spent the majority of my time on mine sites across Queensland and the Northern Territory managing the execution of both preventative and corrective maintenance. Effective people management is a skill that I pride myself with, many of the tasks I face on site involve managing a diverse workforce varying skill sets, heritage and age. I aim to drive a positive safety culture on any site that I am on through visible leadership and positive reinforcement.
