Driving improvements in performance centered around Supply digitization of the extended values stream and supplier ecosystem, proactive risk management, sourcing strategy and the design of Lean supply chain solutions. Developing and deploying a Lean philosophy and strategy for the procurement function in transnational processes as well as supplier performance, primarily focused on capability building , process excellence and TPS based “Suppliers as Partners”.

$55B Fortune 50 heavy equipment manufacturer with 100K employees in 92 countries. $3B division has 5K employees in 10 countries.Promoted to develop global manufacturing strategy following integration of 4 major divisions, with focus on quickly growing capacity and recapturing business lost in 2009 downturn. Led 200 managers and staff in Japan, China, Italy, France, Belgium, UK, Mexico, and US. P&L authority up to $800M, with $20M operating budget and capital budget oversight up to $450M. $5B Caterpillar engine manufacturing subsidiary with 3K staff at 10 production facilities worldwide.Promoted to turn around money-losing, outdated 75-year-old facility with low production volume, and poor quality in high-cost, UK location. Tasked with preparing site for tier 4 engine production within 3 years. Defined and developed CPPD and NPI processes; partnered with UK professional bodies, government agencies, and educational institutions to promote engineering education and attract new talent. Authority for $12M operating, $40M project, and up to $80M capital expenditure budgets. • Transformed aging business losing $100M/year since 1997 Caterpillar acquisition as 1 of 5 project leaders, eliminating $75M of losses by identifying process and cost inefficiencies in machining processes and equipment, restructuring processes, and installing automatic/robotic technologies to gain up to 30% cost reduction while cutting lead time by 66% or 2 months.• Built global manufacturing footprint strategy to address diminishing competitiveness, leading development of new production facilities in China and India and justifying heavy investment to update UK facility.• Identified opportunities from automated machining technologies to radically transform crankshaft machining at 75-year-old Peterborough facility, cutting overall costs by $80M/year with 35% reduction in unit costs, substituting 40% cheaper SG/ductile iron for steel, boosting quality by 300%, and slashing water use by 98%.• Turned around tier 3 engine NPI failures due to late-stage quality problem identification, cutting first-fit problems by 90%, and accelerating design change volume by 200% while cutting time required in half; raised facility to tier 4 manufacturing standard.• Won 2008 IMechE Manufacturing Excellence Award for transformation; awarded 2009 IET Nuffield award for service to UK manufacturing, justifying large Caterpillar investment in facility.

Management accounting and strategic planningResponsible for he provision of financial and non-financial management accounting and reporting statements, strategic and business planning, co-ordination of 'Balanced Scorecard' metrics, cost accounting services.My duties also included a role as Statutory Director of Caterpillar Special Services Belgium s.p.r.l. - an IT service/support company to other subsidiaries.

$8B subsidiary with 3K employees manufacturing heavy equipment for EMEA, US, Japan, and Brazil markets.Conducted strategic and business planning, coordinated "balanced scorecard" metrics, led cost accounting services, and implemented 6 Sigma methods across operations in Belgium, France, Russia, Hungary, and Poland. My span of control covered financial statements (Local and USGAAP), inventory, sales/ cost of sales, treasury, fixed assets, accounts payable, project management and financial systems.
