Managed four district offices comprising a total of 110 staff. Oversaw a mix of relief, rehabilitation and child focused projects throughout area, particularly focussing on delivering effective means of educational and health support to children in a chronic long term conflict environment with multiple displacement. Represented SCF within military, government and NGO fora, and with rebel structures. Drafted funding proposal and negotiated DfID funding, represented SCF in donor and government fora. Instrumental in the creation of an effective and proactive coordination body for relief issues, ensuring this body liaised and lobbied government and diplomatic bodies effectively. Jointly developed new country strategy programme For five month period March - July 1998 acted as Programme Director.

A number of short and long term positions during this period with a focus on conflict and immediate post conflict child centered programming, family reunification and protection support.
