This role involves day to day routines such as Performing in plant testing to EA standards and daily checks of plant including line ups, pumps,control valves and compressors, and gas testing for hotworks and confined space workings.

Working as a site manager for a building company carrying out refurbishments to offices, schools and warehouses. This involves making sure works are completed to the correct specification and completed on time by the various tradesmen. I have site meetings with the client once a week for progress updates and to be informed if there are any changes being made to the schedule.

Coryton Oil Refinery, Coryton, Essex

From September 2005 i worked as a Process Technician on the FCC, 22 Unit at Coryton Oil Refinerywhich is a top tier comah site.working a 12 hour day/night shift pattern. I have been fully trained on the Fluid Catalytic Cracker including Sulphurs and Amines and Gas Plant. This involves:- Performing in plant testing to EA standards - Completing basic care checks and minor maintenance activities such as oil/ filter changes, daily checks, to minimising the need for maintenance - Equipment preparation for maintenance (isolation / de-isolation) In addition I am also:-- BA, Hazmat and confined space trained first response fireman, as such I am trained to respond in the event of an emergency on site to provide assistance to minimise escalation of any incident- safety technician, who’s role is to conduct gas testing to ensure that the local environment is safe for work to progress including hot works and confined space entry.- Permit authoriser, as part of the control of work system to ensure situational risks are suitably evaluated before work is allowed to progress.I have worked as Liaison on the sulphur plant shutdown in 2008 and 2010 which involved isolating, draining down and purging out the unit to create an safe working environment. Coordinating the various trades to complete the work as per the schedule, also involved meetings with the management team to give updates on progress and to be given instructions if there was any change to program. I worked as part of the day team on the FCC shutdown in 2009. I have also been part of the Fire and Line Rescue team on the refinery for 5 years I was made redundant on 29th June 2012 due to the refinery closing:
