Assistant Director: Infrastructure & Growth @ Shropshire Council which includes a vibrant portfolio of actively managed services such as, Highways, Environmental Maintenance, Economic Growth & Assets alongside Partnerships, Policy and Heritage. Andy is a leading advocate of innovation & collaboration utilising community centred "Mixed Economy" delivery models whilst incorporating strategic relationship partners such as Kier & WSP.Andy joined the Council 14 years ago from the private sector as an Engineer, initially leading on the delivery of the Council's capital programme. He was appointed Operations Manager in 2017 and Head of Highways in 2020. Andy and the teams in Shropshire are actively integrating trusted maintenance contractors and local delivery partners to achieve the Council's aspirations for a resilient network, balancing Net Zero, climate impacts and economic development along with value for money.
