Translated mainframe application written in PL/I to C++ on Linux. Maintenance was performed on existing C++ applications and BASH scripts. Designed strategies for introducing Object Oriented architecture into existing non-OO software base. These strategies included use of some design patterns. Participated in discussions to enhance Subversion source control implementation.

Application developer/tester for cloud based Identity Management software. Developed REST based API services in Java for the purpose of providing authentication infrastructure for government and various corporate enterprises. Database interface was via Hibernate. WebLogic services provided for both JSON and XML requests. Agile methodology was followed. Subversion source control software and Eclipse IDE were used.Developer for multi-threaded software application used to automate the establishment of DS0 and DS1 connections to and from Verizon network. Server was written in C++ on SunOS, clients in C++ and Java, middleware TAO and JacOrb, Versant database. Tasks include maintenance, support and adding new features. Many common design patterns were used. Since my involvement, application has evolved from a minor peripheral to other systems into a mission critical application.

Project involved adding Switched Virtual Circuit and Private Network to Network Interface capabilities to ADC’s ATM switch. During requirements and analysis phase investigated IPC and a messaging scheme to be used on VxWorks operating system. Communication was intended across backplane as well as ring node boundaries.
