Joined Innogy (formerly National Power) as a Graduate Engineer, initially based at the 1500 MW Aberthaw Power Station, with responsibilities for condensate extraction plant on a day-to-day basis, as well as boiler pressure parts during two major overhauls which included multiple heater and header replacements.Following 3-month secondments to each of Energy Trading and Business Process Redesign in Corporate Head Office, progressed into a Project Engineering role on the construction of the 1350 MW Didcot B CCGT, with responsibility for all non-EPC works including enabling and shared services with Didcot A.Culminated in a Business Development Manager role for National Power Cogen and Renewables, primarily focused on UK project development, but which also included a 12-month secondment to NP International (now Engie) on M&A activities in Spain and the Netherlands, and in-depth support to the business planning of a new USA-based enterprise, Cogenco.
