Senior Vacuum Development Technician
CurrentTo provide technical support for the Diamond vacuum laboratory.To provide a repairs service to Diamond for vacuum equipmentTo provide design input for the development of novel vacuum equipment for the Diamond project.To carry out vacuum tests for Diamond staff using the laboratory equipment. Developing tests, procedures and reports where required.To support new beamlines and their technicians providing supervisory role when required.To liaise with beamline technicians advising and demonstrating new equipment.To participate in the construction, conditioning, testing commissioning and maintenance of the Diamond vacuum systems whenever required.To utilise effectively the quality control and quality procedures of the Diamond project.To prepare the equipment and areas for vacuum installations when required.To monitor equipment maintenance requirements.To carry out vacuum inspection and acceptance testing of vacuum components.To undertake other related duties to meet the needs of the Diamond Vacuum Group.
