Experienced Librarian skilled in Public Libraries, Library Instruction, Information Literacy, Library Research, Programming, and Collection Development. I am a passionate proponent of using libraries to help build community, primarily through library programs and outreach. Although now retired from the Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) system, I was in charge of library programming at the Severna Park Library where I presented The Great Movies virtual movie discussions, which have been attended by people in 26 states and five countries. I also created and led the Guys Book Club for more than 12 years, reading and discussing a wide variety of books.I have also taught in public schools as a band director and recently as a teacher in American Studies at Anne Arundel Community College. In addition to my book, Men Don't Read (2022), my writing has most recently appeared in the Noir City Magazine. I am working on a book examining movies and culture.
