As Technical Discipline Leader for Urban Drainage Modelling, Andy helps to develop and shape the strategic direction of the Stantec’s Urban Drainage Modelling discipline offerings and capabilities.With 30 + years’ experience in both urban drainage design and modelling working for Local Authority and consultancy firms, Andy has developed extensive expertise in how we improve the management and utilisation of waste and storm water in our communities. He is experienced in all aspects of urban drainage management, from concept to design through to construction. His experience covers management/drainage planning, model build, verification and solution design for all aspects of urban drainage along with water quality calibration/validation for Urban Pollution Management and Bathing Water studies. He has undertaken numerous audits for all types of urban drainage models. He has worked on major frameworks across UK Water Companies, from Urban Pollution Management Studies to Combined Sewer Overflow improvement programmes. With major contributions on different AMP programmes, his expertise has been in high demand and over the years he has completed significant secondments in Pune, Brighton and High Wycombe.Andy is an Incorporated Engineer in the Engineering Council and an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Andy has always been a passionate advocate for innovation and continual improvement. As a key leader in the UDM team and previous experience as a Regional Discipline Lead, this pursuit of good practice is also evident in his commitment to developing the talent and capabilities in our teams.
