Recieved NRC Outstanding Service Award for emergency response during Hurricane Katrina.

Managed and provided support for the IAEA Integrated Regulatory Review Service inspection of the NRC in 2010.Reviewed the management of the NRCs self-assessment process and assisted in response reviews. Developed a comparison document detailing the differences and similarities between the NRC Oversight Process and the periodic safety reviews process as described by the IAEA.Participated in IAEA committee for advanced reactor risk evaluation.

As a side gig, I worked call out jobs to help the disabled with their electric wheelchairs and lift chairs. I've always been a tinkerer, and this side job provided an opportunity to work with mechanical/electrical systems, and to help people that really needed it.

* Designed and installed safety system testing equipment at nuclear power plants.* Performed thermal efficiency evaluations for several fossil power plants in Texas and Louisiana.* Operated, installed and maintained variable frequency drives and AC induction motors for use in Terry turbine testing systems.* Performed cycle-optimization analyses for unit condensers at Nine Mile Point Unit One and Three Mile Island nuclear power plants.* Management of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) of proprietary PTFE/Teflon thermoplastic piping for Vulcan Chemicals. Developed procedures and supervised testing performance.

* Provided power maneuvering guidance to plant operations during reactor startups, shutdowns, control rod pattern sequence exchanges and downpowers.* Managed an extensive program of irradiated fuel inspection and testing in response to multiple fuel failure events for River Bend Cycle 9. Coordinated the activities of a team of in-house and contractor engineers and technicians that successfully identified all failed fuel assemblies in the core, and inspected over twenty fuel assemblies for determination of failure mode.* Improved refueling performance by creating a systematic process to plan the shuffling of fuel in the reactor core, and integrated that system into software to automate the shuffle development process. * Developed and performed BWR Technology training for both GE and Seimens nuclear fuel designs. Performed annual Plant Operations training on new core design and cycle operational characteristics.
