After 34 years military service I have retired from the Army as a Colonel. Having bought a house, I've spent the last year turning it into a home. I am now ready to seek a second career. For six years I was the Deputy Commander of the largest brigade in the Army, responsible for program management as the Business Change Manager, overseas engagement and multinational collaboration. Prior to that I was the equivalent of a People Director for a Local Authority. I had oversight of health, education, social and statutory welfare provision for the British Forces community in Germany. This was a customer facing service support role.Previous appointments have seen me command Royal Engineer units on operations around the world, as well as supporting deployed forces. This has called on my extensive experience of leadership, mentoring, teamwork, self discipline and commitment.Other roles have seen me specialise in simulation and training systems. I enjoy training and mentoring and have a particular passion for flight simulation. I love cars (former petrolhead - not sure what we should be called now!) and motorsport.
