As a facilitator, I confront controversy and issues head-on by asking direct questions without judgment—moreover, an accountability group with your peers will help you see your blind spots that will help you grow. I develop better leaders who take in the whole picture instead of being narrowly focused. I get to work with CEOs on the front end, instead of trying to turn them around on the back end. We assist them in hiring the best people available, which creates companies that flourish and ultimately enhances the St. Louis area and strengthens our business community. This brings me joy, and it is the reason I get up every morning. While we are not actively looking for new investment opportunities, I continue to serve as an angel investor with Billiken Angels Network (BAN) providing investments of capital and expertise to help launch or grow businesses in the St. Louis region. Investments range from $50,000 to $500,000 per opportunity.

For a few years I specialized in turnaround management prior to going [predominately] full-time with Vistage in 1997. I continue to lead strategic planning for selected businesses.
