My time at Reach has been split across a number of different teams. I have been Focussing predominantly on Front-end, I have been creating and improving features for Reach PLC's wide range of publications with over 48 million monthly users (Mirror.co.uk, Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo etc).Some recent Highlights- Specialising in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Next.js & Jest tech stack- Successful record of delivering multiple front-end features across the development lifecycle: design through implementation- Own multiple projects including: - Push Notifications - Increasing customer re-engagement with our products through browser based push notifications. 4 million+ users are engage with this feature - Marketing Opt-In - Adding another avenue for Reach to engage with audiences - Growthbook - Improving the tooling and development lifecycle of the experiments platform - Bookmarks - built from conception to reality using React, Typescript, MongoDB, Jest, Node, Serverless. Supporting cross platform bookmarking and Increasing user engagement and page views. Over 1 million bookmarks saved so far.- Experience of working with multiple 3rd party products (Viafoura Comments, Airship web push notifications etc) - Spent the last 9 months onboarding, mentoring and leading contractors forming 2 new teams- Cross-functional working with many other teams in Reach Digital (mobile apps, Data-product, Ad-product, UX Design, User Research etc)- High level of involvement in the wider Digital team forum as well as a number of Hackathon projects to improve website performance Show less

The General Assembly SEI course was a full time immersive course that included over 400 hours of professional study over 12 weeks. Throughout my time on the course, I have gained knowledge of frontend and backend technologies and have the ability to create real world working applications on web and mobile. Through the course I have developed a pleasure for clear code, a keenness to learn new technologies and an enthusiasm for solving both real world and technical problems. Through the course I have developed a pleasure for clear code, a keenness to learn new technologies and an enthusiasm for solving both real world and technical problems. Due to the Covid-19 situation, the course was taken fully remote and therefore, through working on multiple projects both solo and pair/group coding, I have attained the essential skill to work efficiently, and communicate clearly while working towards common goals in the remote environment.As part of the course I created four projects of which you can see details of in the below Accomplishments section Show less

At CUK I was responsible for managing the Installed Audio Visual channel. The main tasks for my role included designing, selling and demonstrating products from Audac, Symetrix, Pan Acoustics, Powersoft, Community and many others as well as helping manage the route to market the business takes with these core brands. The role covered the whole UK and Ireland working with over 150 key audio visual installer focused accounts. The main tasks for my role included designing, selling and demonstrating products from Audac, Symetrix, Pan Acoustics, Powersoft, Community and many others as well as helping manage the route to market the business takes with these core brands. The role covered the whole UK and Ireland working with over 150 key audio visual installer focused accounts. Although my time at CUK was short, I managed to have a very positive impact on the business. Through my personal relationships and contacts, I have managed to win business with multiple large retail chains, bring on a number of new customers who utilise CUK products on a daily basis as well as run a couple of successful “dealer trips” to our suppliers abroad. My main responsibilities at TOA included looking after over 150 TOA and Trantec accounts and building successful working relationships with a diverse range of businesses. I achieved an outstanding record in sales figures demonstrated by a consistent increase for the duration of my time at the company. I enjoyed bringing a creative and dynamic approach to my role as a sales person. I also oversaw and managed TOA’s brand strategy and identity at a number of leading technology exhibitions. Over time at TOA my role increased to include leading customer development programs, both in the UK and abroad. I planned and delivered a range of successful training seminars for members of the audio community. These seminars provided a focused look at many aspects of the audio industry, where customers gain, not only a higher awareness of TOA products, but many essential skills to help further their businesses in the audio world.
