From knowing nothing about tyres here I am, now in my present position, being a key member in the team managing and looking after large lorry fleets. I pride myself in doing the best I can and offering a service to the customer that exceeds what they expect. In my tyre fitting career I am a skilled at being able to evaluate situations including constantly doing open risk assessments due to the nature of the work. I communicate clearly in a trade setting and working both internally and externally with a range of different customers. I also have written my own fleet management database to keep track of and maintain my fleets, creating reports and work to do schedules.

Scotland / Lincolnshire

I started off in agriculture at the age of 15 working for a beef farmer in Scotland. Working with a large herd of sucklers and Suffolk ewes, gaining great and extensive experience in live stock care and handling. From this position I moved on to a larger unit, having my own allocated stock to feed and check, also being a main tractor driver position on a silage gang. After progressing as far as I could in agriculture in Scotland I was eager to learn more and gain new skills and wider experience. This brought me down to Lincolnshire taking a summer job at Carrington Farms in 2005. My duties where running the main drying unit and looking after all grain storing operations. Enjoying it so much I returned in 2006 and ran combines as well as drying. Any operation on a farm I have undertook I have done with minimum training as I am a very quick learner. I have now lived in Lincolnshire since my return from New Zealand in 2006.Operations which I am skilled to carry out are as follows:Ploughing experience with limpkin euro 8 plough pulled with a 765b cat challengerMajority of all cereal cultivations such as discing, samba solo, flat lift, mole plough, power harrow and the list goes on.Highly capable with a tele handler and forklift.Experience with Class and New Holland modern combinesAll spraying qualifications and nroso registered (not that this is much use to yourselves)Experience in all silage operations Experience in all potato operations and have experience of supervising operations in grading shed as well.Highly skilled in working with live stockA great understanding in the theory and application of grain drying and storageMechanically minded and able to carry out repairs maintenance and welding
