A great deal of my professional experience has been shaped by leading teams that are focused on the integration of automation and software, which has accelerated due to IT/OT convergence. More recently, much of my time has been devoted to helping customers drive intelligent insights into their connected assets with the support of cloud and cognitive AI. Early in my career I really underestimated the impact of change management. One of my favorite customer quotes was from a client that once told me that their change management process was simply called “get over it.” Surprisingly, that project didn’t go all that well. While designing and building the perfect solution is still intellectually attractive to me, understanding the human impact of software and automation has become much more engaging for me as a professional.Motivating teams to be both passionate and engaged has been a cornerstone of what makes me love what I do. My old boss used to say, “100% of the value of our company comes in the door every morning, and leaves through that same door every afternoon.” He also used to say, “Andy, just be yourself, but slightly less so.”

His responsibilities included the management of GIS R&D, Marketing, Sales, Operations, as well as Delivery for GIS representing a total staff of around 160 employees. MM was acquired by Telvent in Dec 2006.
