Returned to the UK and joined Northdoor, a small City of London based technology consultancy and played a pivotal role in its success whilst enabling innumerable clients to grow their own businesses. Client satisfaction was core, with achievement measured by the willingness of clients to recommend Northdoor. Clients included Lloyds of London, Allianz, Canada Life, Prêt A Manger, Royal Caribbean, and Transport for London.I founded Northdoor's UK Managed Services, Hyperion business, and set up a business intelligence (BI), analytics, and enterprise performance management (EPM) unit. This unit deployed support and ongoing BI solution enhancement to a range of diverse clients. Ability to understand business complexities and apply appropriate technology was key to success. In 2005, I founded a fast-growth Irish business whilst continuing to maintain strategic UK customer relationships. I remain a non-executive Director.

Box Broadband builds full optical fibre to premise networks in areas where the internet is poor. Building speed guaranteed networks across Surrey and Sussex bridges a digital divide for rural communities and improves social inclusion in areas underserved by traditional providers. I joined as a non-executive director in 2019 having invested in first round funding and supported further funding rounds through to a majority acquisition by Community Fibre in August 2021. The acquisition provided Community Fibre, London's fastest alternative full fibre network provider, with Box Broadband's experience in suburban/rural builds. Box Broadband gained Community Fibre's industry expertise and scale to accelerate its growth. I stepped down in October 2022 following completion of the post-acquisition integration with the build plan on track to reach >72,000 homes during 2023.

I was invited to join Prêt A Manger as a Board member with global responsibility for IT & eCommerce, leading and developing a team of >75 across five countries with significant budgetary responsibility. I held oversight of technology for in-house and franchise businesses across the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, China, Hong Kong, USA, Singapore and Dubai. Hospitality / franchise partners include Emirates Leisure, HMS Host and Lagardère.During my time at Prêt, I transformed the technology function, into an agile, lean and highly innovative business partner and enabler. Achievements included migrating the organisation to standardised public cloud solutions, enabling rapid scale across multiple markets whilst reducing complexity and cost. I launched Prêt’s first customer loyalty app, developed an AI machine to improve accuracy of sales forecasting, established an independent Innovation Hub for R&D, and transitioned the business to Microservices and Agile working. Hired by GEC / EASAMS direct from university to work at Messerschmitt's aerodrome outside Munich Germany redesigning aviation systems software for the Tornado fighter-bomber. The project extended the operational capabilities, lifespan and lifetime value of the aircraft. Subsequently promoted to a pivotal role designing the flight program for Europe’s Ariane 5 heavy launch space vehicle based initially near Dornier in Friedrichshafen Germany, then Aerospatiale and Centre National D’Etudes Spatiales in Paris. Playing a crucial role in designing mission critical software for the Space and Aviation sector reflects my commitment and dedication to advancing technological capabilities in complex and high-stakes environments.
