With Inspire Group I’ve delivered successful results for an extensive range of clients on a wide variety of projects in New Zealand and Australia. The work has been carried out with internal Inspire teams as well as working as a sole consultant embedded within organisations and companies. I liaise with the right people to understand what’s needed and then design, develop and implement a solution that will work.I’m experienced working across a varied range of topics and fields and love getting to the core to see what will make learning fly into action. A small taste of clients and projects:• Te Papa Atawhai (Department of Conservation, NZ): a variety of learning design and development on topics including cultural heritage, pathogen and predator control risk management, H&S induction, cyber security, competency assessment, and contract management.• Fire and Emergency NZ: design and development of a learning solution for information management, privacy and information security.• Measurement Standards Laboratory (NZ): review and report on viable options to modernise Metrology learning for external partners.• Healius Pathology (Australia): creation of technical elearning modules for pathology testers as well as focus on customer skills.• The Overseas Investment Office (NZ): creation and delivery of learning support for new OIO staff processing consent applications following legislation change.• National Emergency Management Agency (NZ): creation of elearning modules for internal audiences on their use of the Emergency Mobile Alert Portal.• NBN (Australia): analysis, design, development and build of eLearning modules on an extensive range of complex systems, technical and HSE learning projects.• Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Agency): Initial analysis and design of external learning resources around the Road to Zero strategy. Design, development and delivery of external learning resources for vehicle importers using the Clean Car Standard system.

With the Open Polytechnic I worked on the design and development of two varied courses. One in the disability field and the other within accounting.

This was a rewarding and challenging role with a wide-range of functions. I was highly involved in all aspects of the design process addressing IHC’s learning needs for both soft and technical skills. This included the development of blended learning programmes as well as helping IHC take its first steps to realising a strategic goal of introducing effective digital learning solutions to the mix. I was also responsible for producing material and programmes to successfully integrate the learning programme with the ITO (Careerforce) qualifications.

Facilitation as well as NZQA assessment. An essential additional element was the advisory role to local IHC services around L&D needs. I also worked with our high and complex needs service to design, develop and implement a learning programme for their specific needs.

Academic management of international TEFL school. Course development, delivery and assessment. Manager of up to 20 teachers – HR and Professional Leadership role. Business development with local and international agents. Accreditation management with NZQA.

With the Portsmouth NHS Trust I worked in a multi-disciplinary team, supporting people with learning difficulties (intellectual disabilities) living in their local community. This was a varied role that covered the psychological assessment and treatment of clients with intellectual disabilities who also exhibited challenging behaviours. The role introduced me to the world of adult education as I learnt to develop, deliver and evaluate teaching programmes for nurses and support workers.
