I specialise in construction and engineering, environmental and property disputes of all types (including the assessment of compensation following compulsory purchase and rating appeals). I have extensive experience of adjudications, arbitrations and litigation in the High Court (in the Technology & Construction Court or the Chancery Division). I act for public sector bodies and owners of land and buildings. Current cases include acting in substantial disputes for (1) a local authority against an engineering contractor on a public transport project where the contract was let on an NEC standard form (2) a management contractor against the employer where the contract to refurbish a prestige London property was let on a JCT standard form and (3) one of the UK's major transport and infrastructure groups against a sewerage undertaker. I am a member of the Society of Construction Law, the Property Litigation Association and the Compulsory Purchase Association. I have sat as a Deputy District Judge since 1997.
