What are the three main reasons to be picky about your food? Poorly grown, processed, transported, stirred, &/or prepared food... 😞 Tastes bad,🤒 Contributes to chronic illnesses & poor health,☠️ & sometimes it kills you. All great reasons to care about what we are feeding everyone! As someone who is passionate about the intersection of people & food I have spent my entire education & career gaining experience in every aspect of our food chain. From the garden bed & pasture fields, to the processing plants & quality control labs, even to the research labs & halls of power where policy is handed down to the rest of us I have purposefully gained that experience so I could get a better understanding of the whole food picture. With all of the knowledge, skills, and relationships I have earned through all of my amazing opportunities I use my grit, collaborative personality, & positive team leadership skills to engage in projects that make our food and each other better.Collaborating with my peers and my direct reports we have been able to grow and produce food that meet FDA, USDA, GAP, AIB, SQF (A GFSI Standard), and Organic standards. All while inspiring and growing the future leaders of in the companies I have worked for, non-profits I cofounded and help lead, & the communities I engage in.I am an expert at inspiring & leading myself & my teams to increase productivity, decrease turnover, while improve everyone's skills & abilities to meet current work load demands while developing to meet future challenges. My most impressive skill, by far, is my ability to get seemingly at odds departments &/or people to come to a table so we can broker a deal to get the important work done while fostering more trust & future collaboration.🌳Important addendum to the statement immediately above... sometimes I fail, but I learn each and every time🌳

Denmark Connections Campaign LeaderNeighborworks Green Bay Jul 2024 - PresentDenmark, Wisconsin, United StatesI have the honor & responsibility to collaborate with the greater Denmark, WI community to positively engage with each other as we mitigate & reverse the negative impacts of the social isolation epidemic with a specific focus on the disabled & members of more experienced generations.Using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) community organizing techniques, I am leading a team to connect with members of our community to have & record conversations that will help us discover the skills, gifts, & capabilities of those in our Denmark community. These conversations will be facilitated either in existing, or by creating positive social events where people of different age, socio-economic, & racial backgrounds can get the chance to be in fellowship with each other. We employ a strategy & work with partners that ensure we connect with those who may not necessarily be able to leave their homes or have difficulty in larger groups so that we can get an honest and accurate representation of everyone in our Denmark area manifest of skills, gifts, & capabilities we have to offer each other. In addition we will also look for barriers keeping people from sharing those gifts, & look for new opportunities for future programming to positively engage the community using the gifts they share with us.As a new member to the Denmark, WI community it is my responsibility to learn about and positively contribute to my new home; the home that my children’s ancestors, on their mother’s side, have called home since the 1860s. I can’t think of a more positive or engaging way to do so. -

Member Owner 🌳 International Society Of Arboriculture Certified Arborist 🌳 Worksite SafetyOuroboros Sustainable Contracting Llc Sep 2014 - Jan 2017Greater Milwaukee AreaOuroboros General Contracting LLC was a full hearted attempt at entrepreneurship that coupled my grit and determination with my desire to work with some of my closest friends and mentors to provide sustainable solutions for water, tree, and landscape management around human structures. Though the business was unable to succeed due to multiple factors, I was able to learn an incredible amount of skills like cashflow management, job prospecting/bidding, and licensing/insurance management. Remember, it is only failure if you learned nothing from it and don't use what you learned to continuously improve.
